Day 01: Delhi-Haridwar:
Arrive at Delhi and drive to Haridwar. Local sight-seeing tour of haridwar and Ganga aarti at Har ki pauri. Stay overnight at the hotel in Haridwar.
Important places to visit: Har-ki-Pauri, Chandi Devi & Mansa Devi Temple, Daksha Mahadev Temple etc...
Day 02: Haridwar-Mussoorie-Barkot ( 200 kms, 07 hrs drive):
Drive to Barkot/Syanachatti, on the way visit Mussoorie & Kempty falls. Arrive Barkot and transfer to Hotel. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Important places to visit: Mussoorie, Kempty Falls & Lakhamandal*
Day 03: Barkot-Yamunotri return:
Drive 45 kms to Jankichatti then trek 07 kms to reach Yamunotri to visit the temple of Goddess Yamuna, situated on the banks of the river. You can take a holy dip in the nearby tank filled by hot springs and cook rice in its water, the common rituals performed by the devotees. Trace your steps back to Jankichatti. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Important places to visit: Yamunotri Temple, Surya Kund & Divya Shila.
Day 04: Barkot-Uttarkashi (115 kms, 5 Hrs drive):
After breakfast drive to Uttarkashi. Later visit the famous Vishwanath Temple. Stay overnight at the hotel
Important places to visit: Vishwanath Temple & Shakti Temple
Day 05: Uttarkashi-Gangotri-Uttarkashi ( 100 kms each side, 3 1/2 Hrs):
After breakfast, we will proceed to Harsil - one of the most beautiful valleys in the world. En-route we will stop at Gangnani for a hot water spring dip. Drive to Gangotri (22 kms/1 hr). On arrival take a holy dip in the River sacred- The Ganges, also called Bhagirathi at its origin. Perform pooja and relax in the lovely surroundings. In the afternoon return back to Uttarkashi. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Important places to visit: Harsil, Hot Water Springs at Gangnani, Gangotri Temple
Day 06 :Uttarkashi- Guptakashi (210 kms/8 hrs):
After early breakfast, we will proceed to Guptakashi . Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 07: Guptakashi –Phata-Kedarnath-Guptkashi:
Departure to Phata at 05:30 am to take the helicopter for Kedarnath ji. The flight duration is approximately 15 minutes from Phata. Up on arrival at Kedarnath ji proceed for the holy darshan at Kedarnath temple. After darshan return to Phata by Helicopter. Overnight stay in Guptkashi.
Important places to visit: Kedarnath Temple, Guptkashi Temple, Kalimath* and Triyuginarayan*
Day 08: Guptkashi - Badrinath (230 kms / 8 hrs):
After an early breakfast, we proceed to Badrinath via Chopta one of the most beautiful sites on the whole trip. Enjoy the beautiful drive through medicinal forests. On arrival check in to your hotel at Badrinath. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Important places to visit: Ukhimath Temple, Chopta & Narsing Temple in Joshimath.
Day 09: Badrinath –Pipalkoti/Rudraprayag: (80 Kms/165Kms, 4 hrs/7 Hrs):
Get up early in the morning and see the beauty of the majestic Neel Khant peak. After taking bath at Tapt Kund (hot water spring ) take holy Darshan of the Badrinath Temple. After Breakfast drive to Mana Village. 11:00 am departure for Rudraprayag. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Important places to visit: Sri Badri Vishal Temple, Tapt Kund, Bhrama kapal, Narad Kund, Sheshnetra and Mata Murti Temple.
Important places in Mana Village: Bheem pul, Ganesh Gufa, Vyas Gufa
On the way sightseeing: Yogdhyan Badri, Vishnuprayag, Shankracharya Mutt in Joshimath, Nandprayag and Karanprayag.
Day 10: Pipalkoti/Rudraprayag– Rishikesh (220 kms/135 kms, 05 hrs):
After breakfast, we proceed to Rishikesh. Rest of the day will be at leisure. Evening visit to Ramjhulka and Laxmanjhula, Ganga aarti at Parmarth Niketan.Stay overnight at the hotel.
Important places to visit: Rudraprayag confluence, Dhari Devi Temple, Devprayag confluence, Lakshman jhula, Ramjhula, Geeta Bhawan, Swarg Ashram, Parmarth Niketan and Shivanand Ashram.
Day 11: Rishikesh-Delhi:
After departure for Delhi.
Checklist
- Please carry a photo Id and proof of the address along with you.
- Do carry sufficient light woolens from May to Aug and heavy woolens from Sept to Nov.
- Carry good walking shoes: - canvas or sport shoes
- If you wish you can carry dry eatables with you like biscuits, snacks and chocolates etc.
- Always hire registered pony, kandi and porter.
- Move slowly and steadily and give the driver enough time for rest.
- Please carry umbrella/ Rain coat and one torch.
- Carry sufficient money to pay for your personal expenses.
- It is advisable to carry your own personal medical kit.
- Avoid carrying heavy jewelry during the Yatra.
- Don’t use soap while bathing/ washing clothes in the river.
- Don’t throw wrappers/poly bags on the road or in the forest during the journey.
- Don’t carry poly bags as it is banned in Uttarakhand.
